Arctic Watch Vessel Tracking System Acccess

As part of the Arctic Watch initiative in the Bering Strait region, login credentials for six communities will be provided at no cost. The communities selected will receive training and routine engagement as well as 24/7 support from the Marine Exchange of Alaska's Maritime Operations Center. Please complete the attached form below for consideration based on geographic location and intended use of the vessel tracking system.

Vessel Enrollment

The purpose of enrolling is to ensure the 24/7 Arctic Watch Monitoring Center can transmit safety and environmental information to vessel operators.

Broadcast information includes:

  • Marine Protected Areas
  • Ice & Weather Conditions
  • Vessels in Distress (active monitoring, coordination & response)
  • Virtual Aids to Navigation (traffic lanes, Areas To Be Avoided (ATBA))
  • Active Subsistence Harvesting Activities
